During the 1970s a Teacher by the name of Mr. Drew (George Drew) worked at Morton East High School in their Theater Department. The rumor goes that Mr. Drew suffered a heart attack, passing away the day of their opening night for West Side Story. Sadly never getting his chance to see the production take place. West Side Story hasn’t been performed out of respect since, but for one occasion. Is his spirit there still watching? If he is, the students have nothing to worry about as Mr. Drew was a beloved teacher of the school.
